I am just a daughter of a father who is sleeping and I don’t want to disturb his dreams. So I’ll stick to the point though the history’s important, though you should know that anyway my dear.

Betrayal cuts you deep like a wound that will not weep and though delayed I’m sure it leaves me sounding fey. But the pain it just reverberates all throughout my body and though referred I tell you it won’t go away.

Oh did you get my letter
I wrote it in my sleep all those years ago
Oh yeah a heart that fetters
From an act that never quite got closure
Did you really think that it would bring us closer?

I’ve been searching for answers in dark familiar places but your silence says more to me than words. 'Cause what you did that night it gave me such a fright as I thought I saw history bare repeating. I saw my little life just flash before my eyes and I thought 'oh no I won’t have it'.

Does your conscience ever speak within your waters oh so deep and if it did what would it say? Would it stare at you in the mirror or hide beneath the covers of your lidded green eyes?
